A crazy piece of history right here. This joint contains the original split between me and Buyable from October 2nd, 2008, with a few more historical gems.

Initially in '08, we went 5 tracks each to make a "split ep." At the time, dropping splits was the popular thing to do online. We had it zipped up in a mediafire or zshare link, then we threw it up on the blog section of our myspace pages.

The songs on the split were recorded when we were 16. We weren't even going by Abstract Concepts then. We didn't decide on that until the spring of 2009, when I was working on "March Madness." Shit, we didn't have our MPC's yet. This split was recorded entirely in Frooty Loops 7.

December 2013 made the hand shake complete. We finally met in Massachusetts and collaborated in person on some beats. We wrote 5 tracks dumb-fast in one sitting. I've included them in here as the "December 7th 2013: Piste" series. Retrospectively, that shit was an expression of how much we grew as musicians. At that point in time we had already spent about 3 or 4 years with our MPC's. We knew our machine and went in. The juxtaposition is remarkable, looking back at the fall of 2008: it took us a month to record our 5 tracks for the split. Then in 2013, it took only a couple of hours to drop 5 tracks.

Lastly, there is the Foster Rizla Remix that I wrote in January 2009, only a few months after Buyable dropped the original version.
